Situated in the heart of the West Concord business district, this 1930's building had served a variety of automotive uses from parts store to service to body and paint shop. The owner wanted to shift his showroom down the street from its present location to enlarge the service facilities at that location and provide a larger showroom and business offices at this location. The 1960's concrete block addition to the rear was saved but the original building at the street was demolished down to the original concrete slab. The new structural steel frame required only modest changes to the original foundation, and the entire new façade fits comfortably into the village business district while embracing the new national corporate image of Jeep-Chrysler.
