The unique challenge of working with an existing structure with given constraints and opportunities has been of great interest to Paul Minor since the inception of his firm in 1976. Issues of designing with certain givens style, site, zoning, building codes, and very specific client needs/desires/requests makes this building type particularly fun and challenging.
These projects range from simple porches and interior "re-arrangements", to second floor and next-to additions, to demolition of major portions of a structure and expanding in several directions from there.
Often projects involve approvals from local zoning boards, Conservation Commissions, and in some cases Historic Commissions. Paul and his consultants work closely with his clients through each of these approvals.
