Spec House
Concord, MA
The developer of this new home had preliminary sketches of the home he wanted to build which had so many rooms he ran out of names for them - this was in an era prior to the “Not So Big House” movement. During construction he had the first floor raised about 18" so one could see “The Hunt” through the front yard while sitting. The final design is comodious with a sense of usefulness in all of the spaces and fabulous views in all directions. A pool and separate barn were added later.
